This game will make you love Fat Chicks…. A lot!
Fat Princess is a multiplayer PSN exclusive due out sometime this summer. The game is being developed by Titan studios and is being published by the SCEA. I’ve been following this game very closely since it was announced and now I finally get my hands on it in the beta.
First, let me just give you a run down of what this game is. Fat Princess is a multiplayer focused game; the setting of the game is that there is two different teams each with the other teams princess in their castle. Your goal is to get your princess back from the other castle by cooperating with your teammates to grab her, and then return her to her throne in your castle. But your probably wondering "why is it called Fat Princess if your just trying to steal her?" Well, the answer is that you have to go out and collect cake from all over the map and bring it back to your princess so that she gets fat and is heavy to carry to the other castle. There is one other mode in the beta which is Team Deathmatch. In Team Deathmatch, all you do is kill the other team. When you kill the other team their score goes down, and you win when you get the other team down to zero. Of course, this is not all the things that will be in the game; there will be more options for everything in the final version.

The graphics in Fat Princess are very childish yet gruesomely gory. This game's cartoon style is slick and clean and looks amazing. In the beta I only had access to one map, but that one map (Black Forest) had many different things to do and ways to build and upgrade your castles.
For a game with such a childish style its unbelievably deep. At first glance it will seem terribly chaotic, but as you keep playing you will see that everyone is in one big groove, helping each other and utilizing each class to its full potential. When you first get this game I would suggest playing with bots until you learn the ins and outs of each class. There are five classes in Fat Princess that you can change between and often as want during a match. You change classes by picking up and putting on different hats that you can find at your base, or you can take them from your dead enemies. The classes are Worker, Warrior, Ranger, Mage, and Priest. Each class can be upgraded three times, and each time you get a new power (but you can always switch between powers on the field). The Worker is one of the most important classes. He is the person who goes out and gets materials to beef up your castle and upgrade all your classes. He is also the only class that can create defenses and upgrade you base for you. The Warrior is the all-around class. He is your main attacking unit who runs around with his sword hacking and slashing at whatever needs destroying. Rangers are your speedy long-range class. They wield a bow and arrow, and can shoot from long distances. The Mage class is a very strong class. They can shoot spells out of their staff, and can also light their staff on fire and set the enemy ablaze by hitting them with it. Priests are also a very important class. While they can’t do damage to the enemy (except for hitting them with their stick), their main purpose is to be a healing unit on the battle field which is very important in big sieges.
