As one of the first multitouch browsers using Google Android’s API, the original Dolphin Browser contained many features but did not impress users with its mixed-up layout. Just recently, this problem was resolved and new features were even added together with easier navigation, and renamed .
![]() Multiple Tab Support
Making a fast swiping action from the left or right will show all opened windows, which also has four different action buttons. From a visual standpoint, having sliding menus from a swiping action is stunning, but it limits additional functions. Accessing windows can be done by scrolling to tabs on top, which is alright since it also presents a thumbnail view. There may be overlap of functions, but it still gets to all your windows.
Gestures
Just like the standard Dolphin Browser, it features gesture navigation for some pages. This functionality can be enabled through a gesture tab and never hinder you from performing other functions. These gestures can be assigned for actions such as going forward and back on pages, or make your own gesture for websites.
Add-on and Theme Support
Unlike the previous version, Dolphin Browser HD currently has add-o and theme support. It is always great to customize your own browser according to your visual preference. However, the browser comes with only one theme for the moment being. Talking about add-on support, one good example is Google Services. There is also the option of adding Android RSS feeds, Twitter Share, and Bookmarks. now supports add-ons and themes. Since this is still undergoing continuous improvisations, soon there will be plenty of add-ons and themes to choose from to suit your browsing needs.
Final Words
Dolphin Browser HD may not support Flash-content as of the moment, but this is totally one good alternative for a web browser on the Android platform. Arguably, this is the Android web browser that must be a standard for mobile web browsing.
