I have been looking for a tool that I could use to keep track of all my note. Like most people I had word document, sticky notes, lots of note pads ect.. I tried many tools for keeping notes, but was unsatisfied with the results. At work I use a PC and at home I use a mac. This presented a problem since I couldn't get my notes to sync up. I also do a lot of thing on my cell phone add 1 more problem. Then as I was looking for a tool, I found Evernote. Evernote is a note tool that works on Mac, Windows and most cell phones. It also has a web interface so you can use it anywhere. It has several great features like storing images, sounds, notes and encryption. I will explain each of the features below.
Images: The ability to load images or photos. Evernote even does character recongnition on the images and indexes the text in searches.
Audio: Record an audio message on your phone or computer and you can play it back later.
Notes: Type any note into the system and it will be indexed for later use, you can search on all of you notes.
Encryption: Evernote provides built in encryption for your notes, you can encrypt a single work in a note or the whole note.
Notebooks and Tags: Evernote allows you to create botebooks to store information. You can also create tags to make it easier to find information.
Once you use Evernote you will see why it is so great. There are 2 plans to choose from.
Free: This plan has limits on the amount of files that can be uploaded per month. The image recongnition is also slower on this account. If you are just creating notes, this one will work fine for you.
Paid Plan: The paid plan allows you to upload more data (files) per month. This account also offers faster image recongnition services.
See for yourself,
