Maybe you’ve seen advertisements on the Internet or on published papers about the first phone made by Google (through HTC) – Nexus One. For those who are curious to know more about it, read on.

The HTC-built Nexus One is already available on your nearest shops or on the Internet. With Android 2.1 as its platform, 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, and 3.7-inch 480 x 800-resolution screen, it probably has claim of being the fastest Smartphone today. Additionally, 512MB memory for ROM and RAM, and expandable 32 GB user memory makes it a good contender for the iPhone. It includes an accelerometer, a light sensor, and a proximity sensor. It also has a high quality 5 megapixel LED flash camera that takes really decent pictures and a lot faster than other phones when it comes to image processing.

This Google phone is thinner than an iPhone and very classy as well – if you’ve seen one, you’ll get the idea. Size alone makes it portable for you whenever and wherever you want to bring it along. It sure is a good iPhone contender, just like the Motorola Droid, but there are still some modifications needed for this to happen. One advantage of Nexus One is its design.

When moving between homepages, transition is quicker and smoother when placed side by side with Droid and iPhone. Moreover, applications like Google Maps, or any application for that matter (esp. Google Apps), require little time to start up, which makes it very remarkable.

Multi-touch functionality on Nexus is already available, which would mean that you can now press multiple times on a button. It was a bit disappointing before when it didn’t offer the said function because Nexus One’s touch-screen is nicely done.

You’ll love what Google has done on the GUI. Flashy wallpapers are touch-reactive and animates on the homepage. No sliding drawer exists for Google opted on placing a home button and icons weaving a 3D cube. On release, there were 5 home screens available, but Google will surely update this.

Nexus users testify that their keyboards are better and more responsive, thanks to the Snapdragon CPU.

Evidently, Nexus One offers users both shape and usability. So what are you waiting for? Grab one while it’s still hot on the market!
